Internet Marketing Spring Cleaning – Week 1

Monday, April 2nd, 2007

Bright and early today, Alice sent out the first week’s email and our first Internet Marketing Spring Cleaning assignment. I wasn’t as early as some of her students. One of them even turned their assignment in a mere few hours after Alice sent them out! Whoa! I can tell she’s going places. Don’t leave me behind! :)

This first week’s guide is short but also the most important. I can’t discuss in detail but can definitely tell you it’s all about taking inventory of your business. Argh! I don’t know about you, some people love making lists but me? Uh-uh. I hate lists! Even when I tried making lists, I never failed to lose them.

But, this is not about me. This is about my company. There’s a difference. So, if I want to pass the company on to my kids or build it to a point where it can continue to feed and clothe my family long after I’m gone, I have to do this.

I think this is the biggest misconception about running your own business and “being your own boss”. Being your own boss doesn’t mean you get to have everything you want the way you want and not do the stuff you don’t want to do. Sure, you get all that. But eventually, you’ll still need to do the things you don’t want or like. Sure, you can outsource some things eventually but not everything. Also, before outsourcing someone needs to set the frame work, the big picture – that’s us.

Anyhow, this is going to be interesting. More progress later.

I’m In The Coaching. Are You?

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

Yay! I can’t wait. This is my second time doing any kind of coaching. The first is with Jimmy D Brown. This time, I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. Having worked with Alice for several years now, I have seen her business grow from the inside and try to model her enterprise as much as possible. But now I really need some lead-me-by-the-hand help. I do believe I’ve trimmed a lot of fat from my business although I’m sure Alice would make me trim more :)

But I’m kinda stuck how to build muscles into the trim meat. It’s kinda like losing weight. If you’ve ever lost a lot of weight, you know that’s half the battle. You don’t get this super sexy body after you lost a huge mass. You’re left with sagging flesh and stretch marks – not very pretty. That’s kinda where I am now.

Maybe this is not you, maybe you need to learn to trim the fat. Whatever it is, I’m certain Alice can help. Here’s something to start you off. Download this quick read 3 page PDF Alice sent to me. It’ll show you how to dust the cob webs off your autoresponders and make them cleaner, leaner and more effective.

Thinking of joining us on this 6 week ride? Then you’re in luck. If you sign up through the link inside the PDF above, I’ll give you access to my “Spring Cleaning Technical Assistance”. Here’s what it includes. The week after the coaching with Alice, I’ll send you a brand new book (or mini course – I haven’t decided yet), never released before. It’ll show you how to spring clean the technical aspects of your business. How to set up your computer systems so whenever you need to reformat, or your computer crashes, you’ll lose almost zero data. I just reformatted my computer and it only cost me a 2-3 hours down time without data loss. You’ll also receive my notes, which I’ll be taking through out Alice’s course. In it, I’ll go into the details of the technical aspects that are brought up.

Why after the coaching? Well, let’s face it. We’ll both be plenty busy for the next 6 weeks. We do want to get the most out of the program right? Doing this after also allows you to collect all the technical questions you might have so we can hit the ground running.

If your business needs a spring cleaning now, don’t sit on the fence too long. Last day to sign up is tomorrow, April 1st and that’s no joke either. Here’s what you need to do if you want to claim my bonus.

1. Sign up through the link in the PDF above.

2. Visit http://www.marketingright.com/helpdesk/ open a ticket and send me your name, email and receipt number.
